Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Classroom Welfare Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the class teacher and pupils in a KS1 setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a tidy and well-maintained classroom setup for the mornings
- Provide support for any needs the class teacher may have
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with children who have various additional needs
- Support children with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and managing challenging behavior as needed
- Develop and implement creative and engaging learning activities
- Monitor and provide feedback on progress
- Adapt to the individual needs of pupils
- Hold a general understanding of Safeguarding for KS1 (Year 1) and report any concerns to the DSL
Requirements:
- Experience in supporting children with a range of additional needs (SEN/SENCO)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for contributing to the social and academic development of children
