Key Responsibilities:
- Management Accounts: Assist in the preparation of detailed management accounts along with insightful commentary.
- Financial Performance Analysis: Deliver comprehensive financial performance assessments and strategic recommendations.
- Financial Models, Budgets & Forecasts: Support the development of financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ad Hoc Modelling: Conduct financial modelling to assist in pricing and cost-saving initiatives.
- Bookkeeping Oversight: Oversee daily bookkeeping activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor finance team members, addressing their queries and supporting their professional growth.
- Invoicing Management: Ensure the precision of invoicing processes, automating where feasible.
- Sales Ledger Oversight: Assist in managing the sales ledger process.
- Tax Compliance: Collaborate with external agencies to ensure timely and accurate tax submissions.
- Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Statutory Accounts & Audit: Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and manage audit requests.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct data analysis and generate financial reports to guide business decisions.
- VAT Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Inventory Reporting: Compile and analyze monthly inventory reports, including cost assessments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, upholding company values.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Driven and passionate about achieving results
- Experience in a Retail, Marketplace, or DTC/eCommerce environment
- Proficient in MS Excel and IT applications (including advanced functions)
- Experience in a scaling organization
