About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven and commercially focused finance leader to join our team as the Head of Commercial Finance. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and financial guidance to support the company's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Serve as the lead financial advisor to the Managing Director, providing insights, data analysis, and recommendations to guide business decisions, ensuring alignment with the company's growth strategy.
  • Global Financial Oversight: Oversee commercial finance activities across multiple regions, ensuring financial plans and KPIs are met in line with global objectives. You will bring financial clarity to regional and global business units, ensuring consistency and transparency across all divisions.
  • Revenue & Profitability Analysis: Lead in-depth analysis of revenue streams, pricing strategies, and cost structures to identify opportunities for improved profitability. You will partner with the MD and senior leadership to develop actionable strategies that drive revenue growth and operational efficiencies.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for global operations, ensuring accurate financial projections and robust planning. You will challenge assumptions and work with divisional heads to create financially sound growth strategies.
  • Commercial Modelling & Strategic Planning: Support key strategic initiatives, including M&A and market expansions, through detailed financial modelling and scenario analysis. Your input will be critical in assessing the financial viability of new markets, acquisitions, and business ventures.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a dedicated commercial finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous development. You will also be responsible for ensuring your team's output is of the highest quality, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and commercial insight.
  • Performance Management & Reporting: Provide regular financial performance updates to the Managing Director and senior stakeholders, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that drive commercial outcomes. You will also ensure that all reporting is timely and in line with global financial standards.
  • Driving Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function, leveraging technology and data to streamline operations and enhance reporting accuracy. You will ensure that our finance processes are fit for purpose in a rapidly growing and evolving global business.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a highly driven, commercially focused finance leader with a proven ability to operate at a strategic level. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualifications: ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified.
  • Experience: Significant experience in a senior commercial finance role, ideally within a SaaS, tech, or high-growth business. Global experience is highly desirable.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Commercial Acumen: A proven track record of influencing commercial strategy, with the ability to translate financial data into clear business actions.
  • Analytical Expertise: Excellent analytical skills, with a focus on financial modelling, profitability analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Ambition: A future finance director, you have the ambition and drive to progress into a senior executive role within 2 years, contributing to the company's long-term success.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights.
