Job Title: Community Paediatrician with Neurodisability Expertise

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Paediatrician with a specialist interest in neurodisability to join our team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Community Paediatric Team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to children and young people with neurodisability and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver general community/neurodisability paediatric clinics in the Mid Nottinghamshire area
  • Conduct autism assessments and provide Special School clinics
  • Participate in daytime child protection on-call rota for social care requested medical assessments
  • Develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Provide appraisal and supervision to junior staff members
  • Contribute to teaching and training programs for healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • Completion of CCT in CCH (Community Child Health) or acquired Level 3 competencies
  • Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training
  • Broad experience of all clinical aspects of community child health, including neurodisability
  • Ability to demonstrate having achieved the competencies equivalent to the Highest Specialist Paediatric Training
