Programme Overview

The Refugee Employability Programme is an innovative initiative designed to provide enhanced assistance to specific groups of legally recognized refugees in the UK. This program aims to deliver personalized support to help participants secure sustainable employment and successfully integrate into UK society. Palladium collaborates with employers, local authorities, and community partners to ensure comprehensive support throughout this journey.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Case Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in delivering front-line assistance to clients enrolled in the Home Office Refugee Employability Programme, ensuring they receive exceptional service in compliance with all Home Office standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Engaging with potential clients, clarifying eligibility, and facilitating referrals to the program as part of a coordinated team effort.
  • Managing your caseload of assigned clients, addressing their learning, integration, and employment needs in alignment with contractual obligations and individual requirements.

This will involve:
  • Building rapport and fostering a positive relationship with each client.
  • Assessing clients' initial situations to determine the best approach to meet their needs.
  • Creating and implementing individualized Personal Development Plans, ensuring effective activities are undertaken by each client.
  • Providing constructive feedback, advice, and guidance to enhance clients' capabilities in the job application process, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and confidence to secure employment.

Understanding local specialist signposting services to refer clients to additional support when necessary.Creating a welcoming environment and promoting high levels of engagement with clients.Collaborating with a small team to ensure exceptional support for all clients.Delivering the program in accordance with contractual Service Level Agreements and organizational standards.Maintaining client records in compliance with data protection regulations to safeguard personal information and accurately document the client journey.Meeting personal performance targets, Key Performance Indicators, and Quality and Compliance measures by providing high-quality employability services to clients, both remotely and in person.Establishing relationships and networks with key local stakeholders, including employers, to offer optimal support for clients.
Skills and Experience:
Required:
  • A genuine passion for working with individuals.
  • Experience in customer engagement and support roles.
  • Proven ability to provide one-on-one support and coaching, with the capacity to offer constructive challenges when necessary.
  • Experience managing a caseload of clients in accordance with established contractual standards.
  • Independence and professionalism to work autonomously.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel within designated areas; candidates from specific regions are encouraged to apply.

Desirable:
  • Familiarity with the challenges faced by refugees or asylum seekers, or personal lived experience.
  • Experience in delivering one-on-one employability support or ESOL assessments and training.
  • Training in trauma-informed approaches and safeguarding.
  • Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of languages such as Amharic, Arabic, Albanian, Bengali, Dari, Farsi, Hindi, Pashto, Spanish, Tigrinya, Urdu, or Yoruba.

Location and Compensation:

You will primarily work in outreach settings within the community, with a base location assigned. Travel for client meetings will be reimbursed according to the travel policy.
