Behaviour Support Worker Opportunity

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join a school in Bournemouth. As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in promoting positive behaviour and fostering a supportive learning environment for students.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies, providing one-on-one support to students with behavioural challenges, and collaborating with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and reduce challenging behaviour.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them to develop social skills, communication skills, and independence.
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans to support students with diverse needs.
  • Contribute to a positive school ethos by supporting the overall well-being of students and promoting a supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
