About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at ATA Recruitment. As a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting general maintenance work, including reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM), on mechanical machinery and complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct reactive maintenance and PPM on mechanical machinery, high-pressure boilers, pumps, valves, weighers, baggers, flow wraps, and other equipment
  • Fix and maintain fast-paced industrial production machinery, including gears, motors, conveyors, bearings, and other components
  • Work safely and make recommendations for improvements to maintain a high level of health and safety
Requirements
  • Mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (C&G L3 or NVQ L3)
  • Good experience with LEAN and Continuous Improvement principles
  • Ability to work autonomously with a 'right first time' mentality
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing production environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with production staff and shift supervisors
  • Ability to provide own tools
