Senior Advanced Practice Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Advanced Practice Lead to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing our Advanced Practice strategy, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional leadership to Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) across the Trust, ensuring that they have the necessary support and resources to deliver high-quality care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the Trust's Advanced Practice strategy, achieving a highly functioning and cohesive group of ACPs who can successfully deliver in-line with Trust objectives.
- Work collaboratively with Group leaders to support workforce planning within Advanced Practice, ensuring that we have the right skills and expertise to meet the needs of our patients.
- Work in partnership with health education providers to develop appropriate advanced practice curricula that are suitable for the requirements of the future workforce.
- Implement and maintain robust governance arrangements in-line with statutory and regulatory standards surrounding Advanced Practice, ensuring that our patients receive safe and effective care.
- Working with Group leadership teams, to implement appropriate recruitment standards for ACPs, ensuring that we attract and retain the best talent.
- Keep fully abreast of all local, national, and international developments within Advanced Practice, ensuring that we are at the forefront of best practice and can implement new ideas and innovations.
- Full registration with the NMC / HCPC.
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or evidence of appropriate level 7 study in a relevant specialist clinical field/Digital Badge.
- Independent/Supplementary Non-medical Prescribing (where legally able to).
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Leadership/Management qualification or willingness to undertake.
- Education Qualification.
- Experience in supporting advanced or specialist programmes.
- Experience in supporting trainees.
- Experience in working in change management methodologies.
- Experience of supporting prescribers.
- Proven leadership experience including development and implementation of ACP framework, ACP educational facilitation and mentorship.
- Leadership of teams or change initiatives.
- Demonstrates current knowledge of professional and NHS issues and the implication for clinical environment.
- Experience of clinical research.
- Evidence of leading on clinical audit and translation to service development.
- Knowledge of more than one area of clinical practice – i.e surgery, medicine, orthopaedics, ITU.
