Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at Savills Management Resources. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the shopping centre is presented to the highest possible standards, customer facilities are fully operational, and statutory compliance is always maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including outside maintenance, roof drain clearing, and power washing of bins and service yards.
- Escort contractors and ensure that centre equipment is serviceable at all times.
- Record water readings on a weekly basis and ensure that bins are regularly emptied.
- Identify and report defects to the Centre Manager or Supervisor.
- Work with security to assist with incidents and participate in on-site training for emergency procedures.
- Perform litter picking and graffiti removal as required.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and deal with demanding situations.
- Honest and reliable work ethic.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to work patterns and work weekends/evenings as required.
- Accurate record keeping with good attention to detail.
Desirable Qualifications
- Operational experience within a retailing environment.
- Basic knowledge of H&S legislation.
- Moderate DIY skills.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week as per rota, including weekends and evenings. The salary for this role is £11.50 per hour.
