Job Title: Aesthetic Field Service Engineer

At Rotork, we're seeking a highly skilled and determined individual to join our National team of Field Service Engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing essential service plans to our customers and their sites, reacting to various technical faults and planned maintenance of our products.

This role requires a strong understanding of valves, actuators, and digital control systems, as well as good knowledge of basic electronics, electrical, and fluid power theories. You will be responsible for identifying faults, repairing, testing, and modifying actuators in the field, as well as carrying out mechanical and electrical installations of actuators and associated retrofit adaptations of components, pedestals, and drive shafts.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will work closely with our Service Supervisor to ensure prompt and effective service to resolve customer issues as they arise. You will also be responsible for completing accurate and technical site visit reports for each job.

This role would suit a determined problem-solver who can think logically for troubleshooting issues and has the willingness to travel extensively with overnight stays included.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical support to customers and their sites, reacting to various technical faults and planned maintenance of our products.
  2. Identify faults, repair, test, and modify actuators in the field.
  3. Carry out mechanical and electrical installations of actuators and associated retrofit adaptations of components, pedestals, and drive shafts.
  4. Complete accurate and technical site visit reports for each job.
  5. Work closely with the Service Supervisor to ensure prompt and effective service to resolve customer issues.
Requirements:
  1. Technical experience and/or relevant knowledge of valves, actuators, and digital control systems.
  2. Good understanding of basic electronics, electrical, and fluid power theories.
  3. Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and utilization of common test and calibration tools.
  4. Experience of working in a practical engineering environment.
  5. Full Valid Driving License.
