Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Project Structural Engineer to join our team at Fairhurst. As a key member of our Newcastle Office, you will be responsible for leading technical projects and providing expert structural engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical lead on projects, ensuring high-quality output and meeting client expectations.
  • Conduct structural engineering assessments and inspections of new and existing properties, including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures.
  • Perform analysis and design using software packages such as Tekla Structural Designer and Fastrak Building Designer.
  • Ensure consistency and quality of technical output, including drawings and reports.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, including structural surveys.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered or near Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE).
  • Varied experience in common construction forms and building types.
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and numerical skills.
  • Experience in structural analysis, design, and software essential.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience.
  • Full clean driving license.
