We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Academic in Boatbuilding to join our team at Bournemouth and Poole College. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and training to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching programs in boatbuilding and related areas.
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date with industry developments to ensure our curriculum remains relevant and current.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, including academic advising and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes and improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of our college's strategic plans and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field, such as boatbuilding, maritime engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven teaching and research experience in boatbuilding or a related area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and industry partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
