Boatbuilding Lecturer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Boatbuilding Lecturer to join our team at Bournemouth & Poole College. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Boatbuilding and Composite subject areas to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Learning: Deliver effective and engaging teaching and learning experiences to students across various Boatbuilding and Composite courses.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the design, development, and future planning of the curriculum to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
- Industry Engagement: Organize and participate in visits, enrichment activities, and ship visits to enhance the learner experience and foster industry connections.
- Resource Development: Contribute to the development of teaching and learning resources for the relevant subject areas.
- Personal Tutoring: Act as a personal tutor to students, providing guidance and support to ensure their academic success.
- Representation: Represent the College at internal and external events, including student recruitment, admissions, and open events.
- Qualifications: Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths, Teaching Qualification, and a Boatbuilding level 3 qualification or 3 years minimum industry experience in a Boatbuilding (Carpentry / Composites) role.
- Experience: Proven record of delivering teaching, learning, and assessment to a consistently high standard, with relevant industrial experience within a technical Boatbuilding (Carpentry / Composites) role.
- Skills: Microsoft Office applications, flexibility, adaptability, and resilience, with the ability to work with students of all ages.
- Competitive Salary: £39,198 - £46,700 per annum.
