T Level Examiner Opportunity

Pearson is seeking experienced professionals to join our team of examiners for our T Level qualifications in Finance. As a T Level Examiner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our assessments.

About the Role

The T Level Examiner role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in finance and accounting to contribute to the development of our T Level qualifications. You will be responsible for marking candidate responses in accordance with our pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to our Code of Practice and published examination procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Mark candidate responses accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained.
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
  • Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to.
  • Complete all administration as specified.
  • Attend standardisation.
  • Regularly mark scripts during the summer/autumn series.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of one year's teaching and assessment experience or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Business at Level 3. You will also need to hold a degree or equivalent work-based qualification such as a Level 5/6/7 NVQ in Accounting and/or Finance/Business or membership of a relevant professional body.

Desirable
  • Qualified teacher or hold an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Recent occupational experience in corporate or commercial finance, financial accounting, forensic accounting, management accounting, tax accounting, or internal audit.
Competencies

We are looking for individuals who can work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and have a high level of subject knowledge. You will also need to have excellent communication, written, verbal, IT, and interpersonal skills.
