Associate Director of Development and Membership

The Associate Director of Development and Membership is a key member of the Bryn Mawr College staff, responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of individual and corporate membership programs, as well as fundraising efforts for the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement membership programs using Blackbaud Altru, with a focus on engaging members and promoting the organization's mission.
- Lead the development and implementation of fundraising strategies, including foundation and government grants, to support the organization's goals.
- Supervise two staff members, including the Marketing & Communications Coordinator and the Membership & Development Associate, to ensure effective communication and development efforts.
- Collaborate with the Staff Leadership Team to advance the organization's strategic vision and implement the board-approved Strategic Plan.
- Stay up-to-date with fundraising and membership trends through ongoing professional development and training.
- Five years of experience in increasingly responsible development positions.
- Exceptional computer and writing/communication skills, with the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with cultural and corporate marketing and communications standards and best practices.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and G Suite, with experience using relationship management software, preferably Blackbaud Altru.
The Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia is a private nonprofit organization that connects Japan and Greater Philadelphia through various programs and initiatives, including the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival and the US-Japan Business & Public Policy Series.
