Merchandise Specialist

Kingdom People is seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join their team in Rochdale. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving business growth through effective merchandise planning, forecasting, and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain accurate forecasts of stock levels, utilizing trend analysis and sales data to inform decision-making.
- Monitor customer till sales and adjust forecasts as necessary to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of merchandise, adhering to lead times and managing fabric planning to maintain service levels.
- Manage relationships with customers, ensuring excellent service and communication throughout the critical path process.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize opportunities and turnover, driving additional volume into stores during key event periods.
- Conduct bi-weekly calls with customers to discuss service and performance, ensuring full notes are taken and action plans are implemented as required.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of analytical and numerical skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate data and build reports.
- Knowledge of forecasting systems, such as SAP or AGR.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment, identifying opportunities and problems, and recommending solutions.
- Established decision-making skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize workload accordingly.
