Job Title: Commercial Contract Executive

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Contract Executive to join our team in 2024. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of our business, including pre-contract and operations, commercial risk and opportunity, and ensuring accuracy of forecasts and commercial reporting procedures.

About the Role:

As a Commercial Contract Executive, you will work closely with our senior commercial manager to deliver the port's projects, providing pre-award, procurement, and post-award contract administration support, monitoring compliance with contract obligations, and driving value from the supply chain. You will be responsible for providing a "cradle to grave" commercial function for all work packages making up the commission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies, and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports, and applying value management techniques at the outset of a project.
  • Managing, estimating, and cost planning activities, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
  • Being a key interface with clients, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Handling contractual frameworks and standard forms of contract.
Requirements:
  • You have a degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent, along with previous experience in a cost/commercial consultancy practice in a similar role and experience working with highways projects/frameworks.
