We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust. As a Liaison Psychiatry Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services and contributing to the strategic development of our team and broader services.
Main Duties- Provide psychiatric care to patients referred to the Liaison Psychiatry Service
- Provide professional leadership and clinical supervision to the medical team, as well as clinical leadership to the Liaison Multidisciplinary Team
- Ensure effective liaison occurs between mental health services and the acute hospital, as well as with other agencies in the voluntary and statutory sectors as appropriate
- Act as a Responsible Clinician (Approved Clinician status) for patients detained under the MHA to the acute trust

We are looking for a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist with the following qualifications and experience:
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
