£32,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience.We are seeking a Category Manager for Facilities who will, under guidance, oversee and direct the comprehensive sourcing process for vital products and services necessary for our operations.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Indirect Spend Category Manager to support various operational units, managing a diverse portfolio of contracts that encompass both products and services, including Waste Management, Vending, Catering, Tools, and Office Supplies.
Your contribution will be crucial in identifying suitable products and suppliers while minimizing risks to the organization. You will not be alone in this endeavor; our team includes numerous subject matter experts ready to assist you. This position offers significant exposure to stakeholders throughout the organization, necessitating the development of strong relationships with our external supply chain partners.
This is a hands-on position within a dynamic department, presenting numerous opportunities to influence our strategy during this critical period.
We value collaborative work relationships and encourage a thriving office environment. However, we also appreciate the benefits of remote work, thus offering a hybrid working model. You will spend three days a week in the office to foster team building, while two days can be worked from home.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A background in procurement related to facilities, including experience in tendering for both goods and services, contract formulation, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency in bid analysis, with a strong attention to detail, a passion for numerical data, and a commercial mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Some experience in mentoring and supporting team members is advantageous.
- Relevant CIPS qualifications, or progress towards them, are preferred.
