About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Lead to join our Finance and Commercial Directorate at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). This is a new role based in the Finance Department and reporting to the Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the College's annual budget-setting process, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Provide long-term financial planning support, analyzing trends and forecasting future financial performance.
  • Oversee the production of monthly management accounts, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with budget managers and senior leaders, offering expert financial advice and support.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
About You

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with expertise in financial planning, management reporting, and leadership within a finance function. Your ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to various stakeholders, combined with your strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, will be key to your success in this role.

Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable practical knowledge of financial planning, reporting, and analysis
  • Proven capability in leading and managing a finance team
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software packages
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
