Job Title: R&D Radiochemist I/II

Invicro, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Radiochemist I/II to join our team in London. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for delivering radiochemistry expertise to enable preclinical PET/SPECT imaging studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform labelling feasibility assessments using various isotopes (C-11, F-18, and radiometals) and develop or implement new radiolabelling methodologies.
  • Manage and deliver PET/SPECT radiochemistry projects to agreed timelines, including radiolabelling feasibility and tracer implementation, routine syntheses, and characterization in preclinical species.
  • Provide scientific and technical input on radiolabelling feasibility strategies.
  • Prepare technical/project reports and scientific presentations.
  • Write and maintain document records to ensure compliance with GxP standards.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry) with knowledge in PET/SPECT radiochemistry and prior experience working with carbon-11, fluorine-18, and radiometals.
  • Ability to independently plan and design experiments, interpret data, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to identify problems, troubleshoot, and create workable solutions.
  • Knowledge of reaction optimization, purification, development of quality control procedures, and radiometabolite analysis.
  • Understanding of radiation safety, GxP, and other aspects related to PET/SPECT radiotracer development.
  • Good understanding of preclinical and clinical PET/SPECT imaging is preferred.
  • Knowledge of radiochemistry automation and synthesis devices is preferred.
  • Strong innovation skills to develop new approaches and seek continuous methodologies improvement.
  • Ability to set priorities and determine requirements to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and assimilate knowledge of areas outside of core competency.
