Job Description:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in a vibrant primary school in Tonbridge. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students in a range of educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Teachers and Students: Provide high-quality support to teachers and students, ensuring effective learning outcomes in a variety of educational settings.
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in the absence of the class teacher, utilizing your expertise to enhance student learning.
  • Student Support and Progression: Support students with varying needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN), and tailor interventions to meet individual requirements, monitoring and assessing student progress to inform future strategies.
  • Resource Development and Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt resources, activities, and lesson plans, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and engagement.
Requirements:
  • HLTA Qualification or Equivalent Experience: Possess a HLTA qualification or equivalent experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • Primary School Experience: Proven experience working in a primary school setting, ideally in a HLTA role, with a strong ability to adapt to varying educational needs and support students with diverse backgrounds.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, promoting a positive and inclusive school environment.
