Reception Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Reception Teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school in Tonbridge, Kent. As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Early Years Foundation Stage, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach the EYFS curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
• Further develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
• Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
• Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications (Experienced teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply).
• Experience teaching Early Years Foundation Stage.
• The confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class, and manage behavior in line with school behavior policies.
