CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Turner to join our team at Acorn by Synergie. As a CNC Machinist / Turner, you will be responsible for managing CNC turning equipment, from setup to operation, including checking of e-stops and other safety equipment as routine.
You will be required to operate multiple machines, as and when required, using XYZ and Fanuc and Okuma operating systems.
Key Responsibilities- Produce parts from information contained in job cards, reading and understanding technical drawings and tool cutting points.
- Able to read and edit CNC programs, select and set the correct tools for the job.
- Check physical seal dimensions with mechanical and optical measuring equipment, ensuring they meet tolerance specifications.
- Carry out batch inspections, disposing of parts that do not meet parameters.
- Set and operate CNC machines as required, running first-offs and checking dimensions.
- Previous experience with CNC turning essential.
- Knowledge of Fanuc operating system or Okuma machines desirable.
- Previous experience in engineering production.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and interpret information to produce a part.
