Biomedical Equipment Specialist

A Biomedical Equipment Specialist is sought for a temporary engagement with potential for extension. The ideal candidate should possess relevant experience in this field.

Initial contract with the possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:
- The main duty of the Biomedical Equipment Specialist is to conduct in-house diagnostics, maintenance, repair, and testing of returned medical devices following established protocols.
- Essential tasks include performing upkeep, evaluation, and calibration of serviced devices, analyzing data collected from devices, troubleshooting issues, and providing clear recommendations, as well as preparing detailed quotes and repair documentation.
- Act as the local Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs representative: responsible for managing device data traceability throughout its lifecycle, handling complaints through an ERP system, and facilitating communication with regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate logistics for serviced devices, including necessary customs documentation.
- Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of measurement units and electronic components.
- Degree in electronics engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in computer applications: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to quality, demonstrating autonomy and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English is essential.
Preferred Experience:
- At least two years of experience in the repair of medical devices.
- Experience collaborating with healthcare facilities and professionals.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Kuma Vision or Oracle is advantageous.
