Position Overview

Role: R&D Technician

Virax Biolabs operates in the biotechnology sector, focusing on the assessment of immune responses and the identification of viral infections.

We are seeking a dedicated R&D Technician to contribute to our innovative projects at our facility. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the enhancement and refinement of T-cell assays, as well as in the production of our research offerings. This role encompasses executing experiments, interpreting results, and supporting the routine functions of the laboratory.

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct experiments in accordance with established protocols.
  • Prepare and manage biological specimens, including blood samples and cell cultures.
  • Ensure the functionality of laboratory instruments, addressing any technical challenges that may arise.
  • Oversee the stock levels of laboratory materials, reagents, and supplies.
  • Record all experimental methodologies and findings in compliance with our Quality Management System.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant life sciences field.
  • Proficiency in techniques such as ELISA, flow cytometry, PCR, bioconjugation, cell culture, mass spectrometry, and microscopy.
  • Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
