Position Summary:

We are in search of a highly competent Engineering Project Manager to enhance our proactive team. This role is crucial for steering the success of our engineering initiatives, from initial planning to final execution. The ideal candidate will possess a robust engineering background, superior project management capabilities, and a commitment to ongoing enhancement in a manufacturing context.

Key Duties:
  • Project Oversight: Direct and oversee engineering initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within defined scope and budget. This encompasses planning, execution, monitoring, and project closure.
  • Team Management: Organize and guide project teams, promoting a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Offer engineering solutions to intricate challenges, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Process Enhancement: Recognize and implement opportunities for operational improvements, applying innovative solutions to boost efficiency and product quality.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and financial responsibility.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and address project risks, ensuring proactive problem-solving and informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • A demonstrated history of success in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment, showcasing a proactive approach to health and safety and technical standards, backed by substantial engineering expertise.
  • The capability to secure stakeholder support by crafting detailed, data-driven business cases.
  • The ability to lead and drive change through effective leadership, communicating across various levels within the organization. You will maintain a consistent and empowering approach, assisting project teams in achieving high-performance status through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Practical experience in managing large-scale, complex projects, with a comprehensive understanding of the demands and responsibilities associated with project management that delivers business improvements.

Additional Information:

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.

Compensation is competitive, with a salary of up to £63,000 per annum.
