About the Role

Birmingham Mind is seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Navigator to join our team at Handsworth Hub. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey, promoting mental wellbeing, and advocating for their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload and work with individuals to develop personalized recovery plans.
  • Advocate for individuals to ensure their rights and needs are respected.
  • Use a recovery tool to assess and address the holistic needs of service users.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local services and resources for effective signposting.
  • Seek feedback from service users to inform service development and improvement.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of therapeutic sessions and workshops.
  • Support volunteers and colleagues in their roles.
  • Encourage service user involvement in service development and decision-making.
  • Ensure a high-quality service delivery, adhering to Birmingham Mind's values and standards.

About You:

  • Experience working in mental health or a related field, with a strong understanding of recovery principles and practices.
  • Ability to work 1-2-1 with individuals, as well as deliver group sessions and workshops.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and GDPR regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, with a strong emotional intelligence.
  • Experience working in diverse and multi-faith communities.
