Job Description:

Leader Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism and complex learning difficulties in a SEND school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in lessons and activities, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other support staff to provide individualized support and accommodations.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and carers to ensure seamless communication and support.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEND.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and making recommendations for support and accommodations.

Requirements:

  • Fully enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience working in a transferable role, preferably in a SEND setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse needs and situations.
  • Flexibility and resilience, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
