Job Summary:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including moderate learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Students: Assist students with special educational needs in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff.
- Safeguarding: Understand and implement safeguarding procedures to ensure the welfare and safety of students.
- Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable in responding to the diverse needs of students.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to provide a comprehensive support service to students.
Requirements:
- DBS Check: Hold a valid DBS check or be willing to undergo one.
- Education and Experience: Have a relevant educational background or work experience, such as teaching assistant, nursery practitioner, or support worker.
- Specialized Training: Have specialized training or working experience in autism education, which is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
