Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEM Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a SEM Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a secondary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily activities in the classroom, providing tailored support to students with SEMH needs.
- Monitor and record progress, working closely with students and other support staff to ensure students engage fully with their education.
- Provide 1-1 support and group support to students, promoting confidence and encouraging independence.
- Develop and implement behavior management strategies to support students with SEMH needs.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with students, teachers, and support staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
