Job Title: Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor

Yusen Logistics (UK) Ltd is seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our Erith site (DA18 4AF). As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the night shift operations in the warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in line with customer demands.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Safely handle products through all inbound and outbound processes, adhering to company procedures.
  • Ensure all goods are handled correctly to minimize damage and follow manual handling techniques.
  • Carry out other reasonable requests to support the effective running of the warehouse.
  • Ensure all vehicles are loaded and unloaded using the correct equipment and customer requirements are delivered within the required timescale.
  • Communicate effectively with team members through briefings and daily interactions, including daily shift briefs, performance of site/shift, assigning work, issue resolution, and ad-hoc briefings.
  • Manage and monitor performance through objective setting and provide mentoring and support.
  • Ensure all team members are aware of key business outcomes, processes, and expectations, delivering company communications in a consistent and timely manner.
  • Support investigations, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
  • Ensure due attention is provided to employee welfare, identifying and signposting areas of support where necessary.
  • Ensure consistent 5S compliance – Sort, Straighten, Sanitise, Standardise, and Sustain.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times, raising any non-compliances or concerns at the earliest opportunity.
Key Skills:
  • Proven leadership qualities to manage all aspects of a busy FMCG warehouse.
  • Experience in warehouse management.
  • Highly motivated and proactive, enjoying leading as well as working as a team, while taking full ownership and accountability for delivering results.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership, motivational skills, and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and highly organised.
  • Good working knowledge of all relevant operational practices.
  • FLT Licence or experience is desirable.
