We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Financial Controller to join our client, a rapidly growing SME based in the UK. The business has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and is looking for a talented individual to lead the finance function.

About the Role

  • Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing a small team and taking full ownership of the finance function.
  • You will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, as well as ensuring statutory obligations are met.
  • Ongoing maintenance and improvement of finance systems will be a key aspect of the role, as well as managing the annual audit process.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with PQ or QBE experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of delivering financial results and improving financial processes.
