Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Domestic Gas Compliance & Repairs Manager to oversee our gas service and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete spectrum of gas service, maintenance, and repair contracts, ensuring full accountability for operational success across various work streams.
  • Maintain 100% compliance with gas regulations at all times.
  • Lead and supervise teams including engineers and administrative staff to deliver high-quality, customer-centric services aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies while managing staff performance and development.
  • Oversee the efficiency and reputation of repair and maintenance services, ensuring excellent outcomes for customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate financial oversight related to projects, ensuring effective recovery of costs and claims.
  • Support the Operations Director in developing and executing supplier performance and contract management strategies.
  • Identify and implement efficiency savings through strategic supplier performance management.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring compliance with qualification checks and training requirements.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports on project progress, including monthly statistical and qualitative data related to KPIs.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintain health and safety standards in collaboration with the Health and Safety Manager.
  • Promote a positive culture around Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) management, prioritizing the safety of staff, customers, and the public.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineering staff, identifying training needs and ensuring appropriate training is provided.
  • Effectively manage all aspects of Gas and HIU programs to ensure high standards of service delivery to tenants and leaseholders.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database for tracking parts usage and orders.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am to 17:00 pm, with flexibility required for occasional overtime.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications
  • HND level education with a proven track record of continuous professional development in the gas sector.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • ACS / Gas Safe certification with demonstrable relevant experience.
Experience
  • Proven accountability for gas compliance delivery.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, including ICT, Finance, Governance, Health & Safety, and Diversity.
  • Experience in managing change processes effectively.
  • Proficient in client and workforce negotiations.
  • Previous managerial experience at a supervisory or management level.

  • Ability to foster and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including listening and emotional intelligence.
