Quantum Solutions, a pioneering leader in quantum dot technology for wide-range image sensors, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Nanomaterial Scientist to fill the role of Product Developer.
This is a full-time position that offers a dynamic environment for professional growth and learning. The successful candidate will work on developing and optimizing the synthesis process of quantum dots for image sensors.
Main Responsibilities- New Product Development: Engineer, synthesise, and characterise quantum dot materials/semiconductor nanocrystals for image sensors (short-wave infrared (SWIR) and mid-wave infrared (MWIR) sensors).
- QD Synthesis Development: Develop and optimise the synthesis processes of QDs and translate the process to the manufacturing team.
- Customer Relationship: Discuss technical details with internal and external customers, develop products according to their requirements, synthesise and deliver products to customers, and provide technical support.
- Technical Information: Prepare information for critical technical documents such as invention disclosures and progress reports, and assist in the preparation of marketing and sales materials.
- Proven expertise and extensive experience in quantum dots colloidal/semiconductor nanocrystal synthesis for use in optoelectronic devices, particularly photodiodes.
- Knowledge of photodiode device fabrication and characterisation is advantageous.
- Industrial experience is advantageous.
- Eager to join a deep tech start-up.
- PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science, or another related field.
- Strong knowledge of materials characterisation techniques, including UV-vis-NIR spectroscopy, PL measurement, TGA, FTIR, TEM, and SEM.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced data analysis and presentation skills.
- Communicative and work well with multidisciplinary groups.
