Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education for children in their early years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care and education to children in the nursery setting, ensuring their physical, emotional, and cognitive needs are met.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities that support the learning and development of young children, aligning with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment that promotes children's well-being and development.
  • Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure the child's needs are met, and their progress is monitored and recorded.
  • Support the daily routines of the nursery, including meal times, play, and rest periods, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the welfare and safety of children.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Nursery Care Specialist in a childcare setting.
  • A relevant qualification in childcare, such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its application in practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A warm, caring, and patient nature, with a commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
  • Flexibility and reliability to meet the needs of the nursery and its children.
  • Possession of an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to have one processed immediately.
