Role Responsibilities:

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter (Mechanical) to join our large manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a dynamic approach, capable of collaborating within an established team.

The successful candidate will be tasked with:

  • Conducting preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, as well as addressing emergency breakdowns.
  • Participating in the design, installation, and relocation of machinery.
  • Overhauling and repairing machines to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
  • Supporting all site operations, including plant, machinery, and services.
  • Performing repairs and servicing on mechanical systems, including upgrades.
  • Managing breakdowns and recovery processes.
  • Collaborating with other teams on relevant projects.
  • Assisting with mechanical design and fabrication tasks.
  • Executing duties as directed by departmental supervision.
  • Working to precise tolerances.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of a fully indentured apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing technologies and machine operations, including CNC processes.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with basic computer software and reporting systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
