We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Art and Design Teacher to join a team at a highly regarded Alternative Provision School based in the Wirral. The school provides support to secondary-aged pupils who have struggled in mainstream education, many of whom face challenges with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role:

  • Full-time position delivering engaging and creative Art and Design lessons.
  • Plan and implement a curriculum that fosters self-expression, creativity, and hands-on learning.
  • Work with pupils to build confidence and a positive approach to learning.
  • Support students who have experienced disruptions to their education, helping them reconnect with learning in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • There is potential for this position to transition into a permanent role.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and patient teacher who:

  • Is a qualified teacher with a strong background in Art and Design (QTS needed).
  • Has experience working with students with SEMH or in alternative provisions (desirable).
  • Has a passion for creative teaching and can engage students in a meaningful and supportive way.
  • Can adapt lessons to suit the individual needs of students.
  • Is committed to the wellbeing and development of each pupil.
