Our institution specializes in crafting individualized educational strategies for students with special educational requirements, particularly those with autism and heightened sensory sensitivities.

We are in search of a caring and committed SEN Support Specialist to become an integral part of our team, working five days a week during term time.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with students who experience autism and sensory challenges, including those who may exhibit difficult behaviors. Your contribution will be essential in assisting them in reaching their personal objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and small group assistance to students with autism and sensory needs.
  • Implement sensory activities designed to help students navigate their sensory experiences.
  • Hold a Child & Adult Workforce DBS.
  • Previous experience in supporting children with autism and sensory challenges is highly preferred.
  • Possess a solid understanding of autism spectrum conditions and related sensory processing challenges.
  • Exhibit a proactive and positive approach to empowering children to achieve their fullest potential.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent) are advantageous.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
