About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a dynamic special educational needs school in Knowsley. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students with a range of learning difficulties, including severe and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering adapted lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with complex needs, helping them engage in learning activities and develop key life skills.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
  • Offer personal care and emotional support to students, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
  • Support students during sensory activities, physical education sessions, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Promote independence, self-confidence, and self-esteem in students.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be passionate about supporting students with special needs and committed to promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members.
