Job Overview:
This pivotal role involves executing both scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks across various locations. You will serve as the primary contact for all maintenance-related concerns within your designated areas. In certain situations, you may need to coordinate with specialized personnel following initial assessments. This position also encompasses both reactive and planned maintenance for food service and catering apparatus, with training provided as necessary. The main objective of this role is to perform technical repairs and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). You will ensure that all technical documentation and compliance records are meticulously maintained and current at all times. All tasks will be executed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, adhering to all Health and Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Personnel Management
- Foster our organizational culture, values, and behaviors.
- Participate in training sessions as required by the organization to ensure your skills remain aligned with technical advancements.
- Prioritize maintenance and repair tasks to meet established timelines and response expectations. Ensure all necessary PPMs and reactive maintenance activities are completed within agreed timeframes, with all required documentation accurately filled out.
- Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within designated timeframes, ensuring all necessary paperwork is accurately completed.
- Respond promptly and effectively to service requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and executing repairs as needed.
- Identify irreparable faults in equipment and machinery, promptly informing the Line Manager of findings and suggesting suitable replacements.
- Communicate with on-site management regarding any repair and maintenance issues that may disrupt site operations.
- Conduct surveys and prepare reports as necessary.
- Collaborate with company and client personnel to uphold established quality standards at all times.
- Execute minor modifications and installations within your technical expertise, adhering to current specifications.
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on trained Food Services assets (catering and bakery equipment).
- Adhere to the policy and guidelines regarding the management of catering and bakery assets.
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance at client sites as directed by management.
- Represent the organization professionally at all times, fostering positive working relationships with both company and client personnel.
- Monitor and update the job management system, including real-time job updates.
Financial Duties:
This role is accountable for tracking material expenditures and procurement.
People Management:
No direct reports.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
- Minimum educational requirement of GCSE/Standard Grade, with NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
- City and Guilds 17th edition certification.
- Proficiency in three-phase electrical systems and their applications.
- Capability to maintain and repair a diverse range of electrical and food service mechanical equipment, such as commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves.
- Quality of repairs and maintenance.
- Efficiency and speed of work.
- Responsiveness to service requests within agreed timelines.
- Achievement of PPM schedules within designated timeframes.
- Adherence to Health and Safety policies.
- Relationship management with clients and colleagues, including feedback mechanisms.
- Valid driving license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
