Ashton Recruitment is currently looking for a Quality Engineer for a prominent client.
Position: Quality Engineer
Location: Toome, County Antrim
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
Benefits: 28 days of annual leave including statutory holidays, increasing to 31 days after a designated period.
Parking: Complimentary onsite parking available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively within the Operations Quality Team.
- Ensure that products adhere to the established quality and service standards.
- Foster strong working relationships across various departments.
- Communicate quality metrics and performance to all organizational levels.
- Deliver training related to quality assurance.
- Provide guidance and leadership concerning the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Support Health and Safety management and training initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- At least 5 years of related experience or training in a manufacturing setting, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated technical expertise and comprehension.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Familiarity with telecommunication and video conferencing tools.
- Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality outcomes.
- Knowledge of various quality system methodologies, including 8D, 5 Whys, Lean manufacturing, Pareto analysis, FMEA, ISIR, and Core Quality Tools.
- Capable of conducting professional audits and generating comprehensive reports.
- Proficient in data collection and analysis, with familiarity in Statistical Process Control (SPC).
