About the Role
The Advocate Group is seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as the Group Safety, Health and Environment Manager. This newly created role will play a strategic part in driving a safety best practice culture across our four business entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on best practices and driving a safety culture in the business.
- Work alongside Directors to develop and deliver engaging health & safety training/workshops to colleagues from shop-floor to manager level.
- Lead environmental sustainability initiatives, providing ideas on how the business can be doing more.
- Influence a workforce of 500 colleagues to value the importance of safety in the workplace and hold accountability for initiatives.
- Motivate, mentor and coach a small team of direct reports, supporting in their respective roles.
Requirements:
- Solid SHE experience; ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organisation.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Practical, calm and thorough with great attention to detail.
- Happy to be visible in the business.
