Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our Asset Management team in Cardiff. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports for our Real Assets entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all financial reporting obligations are met in accordance with L&G Group reporting requirements, regulatory reporting requirements, and applicable accounting standards and rules.
  • Financial Control: Manage the financial control framework to ensure robust controls are in place across all elements of the financial information, including balance sheet control and effective liquidity and capital management.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Expenses and Revenue teams to ensure the accuracy of financial information, and with the Tax team to ensure that taxes are accounted for accurately in the books and returns of each company.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant with knowledge of the Financial Services industry and/or the regulatory environment within which financial services firms operate.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, including knowledge of software such as Tableau, Onestream, and SUN accounting systems, and good MS Excel and MS Word skills.
  • Experience: Experience in financial reporting and analysis, with a strong understanding of FCA regulation and UKGAAP.
