Panel Adviser Fostering Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Panel Adviser to join our team at Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council. As a Panel Adviser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Foster Panel can proceed with business and progress to ADM.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Focus on QA of Panel papers to guarantee the Foster Panel can proceed with business and progress to ADM.
  • Ensure Panel membership is compliant and maintain a stable membership group to enable the Panel to grow and develop together.
  • Develop a training plan for the Panel and the Fostering Service to undertake joint training.
  • Provide a weekly clinic for Fostering Staff to receive advice and support with writing and preparing reports.
  • Establish a fortnightly Panel Matters meeting with TM's from Fostering Service and Fostering Reviewing Officers to review ADM decisions/actions to follow up, look at themes and patterns.
