Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care services to patients and contributing to the development of our business plans.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide Clinical Leadership: Work collaboratively with other colleagues to deliver a high-quality care service to patients, ensuring that all activities are conducted within the contracted level of service and operating plan.
  2. Supervise Junior Staff: Provide clinical supervision of junior medical/dental practitioners, working closely with other consultant colleagues to ensure that all staff are supported and developed.
  3. Develop Business Plans: Take an active role in the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of the Care Group's Business Plan, ensuring that all activities are aligned with the Trust's strategic objectives.
  4. Ensure Quality Standards: Be aware of and comply with all Trust infection prevention and control policies, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety.
  5. Contribute to Teaching and Research: Contribute to the development of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and exam preparation, as well as participating in clinical research and publications.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Fellowship in Dental Surgery or Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery or equivalent Masters qualification in a relevant clinical discipline.
  • Registration: Full registration with the United Kingdom General Dental Council (GDC).
  • Experience: Successful completion of an SAC approved five-year minimum training programme in Restorative Dentistry, or within six months of completion, or equivalent.
  • Skills: Experience in day-to-day organisation of Restorative services in a busy Teaching Hospital, familiarity with information technology and general computer skills, and ability to demonstrate leadership capability within multi-disciplinary teams.
