Harcourt Matthews Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join their Global Professional Services Group in Sheffield. This is a hybrid working role, with 3 days a week in the office, offering a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 + benefits.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide support to the Finance Business Partner, delivering a best-in-class service to key stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Compiling financial data to support complex business requests, including partner and fee earner appraisals, client and matter profitability, and trend reporting.
- Managing the production of routine deliverables, such as monthly reporting packs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Preparing high-quality financial presentations to the business, providing analysis and recommendations as required.
- Becoming a subject matter expert across Finance systems and models used, working with the Finance leadership team and outsourced partners to ensure systems and models remain accurate, relevant, and fit for purpose.
- Assisting in the delivery of the financial education agenda by supporting training initiatives to various stakeholders.
- Supporting the Head of Department and Finance Business Partners with the annual budget process and quarterly reforecast exercises.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Finance and Accounting principles, either via a degree or through experience in a finance role. A part-qualified or recently qualified accountant actively studying ACCA/CIMA/ACA is preferred but not essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, advanced MS Excel skills, and great analysis and financial modelling skills are also required.
This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated and able to work under pressure while remaining calm and focused.
