Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to become a vital member of our esteemed Occupational Therapy Team. This role is situated within a supportive and collaborative environment, where you will primarily engage with our Care of the Elderly and Dementia Care units, while also being adaptable to assist in other medical departments as required.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering specialized occupational therapy interventions through a patient-centered and evidence-based methodology, collaborating with a Multi-Disciplinary Team to address the diverse health and social care needs of our clients.
- Managing a specialized occupational therapy caseload for patients with intricate health and social care requirements.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior occupational therapy staff in conjunction with the team leader.
- Participating in the strategic planning, enhancement, and assessment of Occupational Therapy services within your designated specialist team.
- Offering supervision and educational support for students during their practice placements.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Clinical experience relevant to the specialty or the ability to demonstrate equivalent qualifications.
- Proven expertise as an Occupational Therapist, with HCPC registration.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management capabilities.
- Confident clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and assessment skills.
- A proactive and innovative approach to working.
