A prominent construction firm is looking for a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor to enhance their operations. This position entails collaborating with clients, leading internal safety meetings, and providing guidance to on-site teams regarding health and safety protocols. The successful candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry, along with strong communication abilities and expertise in supporting the building services sector. Preferred qualifications include a NEBOSH general certificate and first aid certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients and the Internal Health & Safety team
  • Facilitate internal site health and safety meetings
  • Participate in client health and safety discussions
  • Assist site teams with all health and safety matters
  • Evaluate safe work systems
  • Attend and provide guidance during safety start meetings
  • Oversee daily health and safety operations on-site
  • Conduct workplace inspections and document findings
  • Investigate accidents or incidents
  • Manage on-site occupational health initiatives
  • Coordinate training for project personnel
  • Support the maintenance of ISO 45001 standards

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong communicator with experience in client-facing roles
  • Proficient in IT and report writing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent
  • CSCS Professional card
  • First aid training
