Regional Health and Safety Advisor

Thorn Baker Construction is seeking a highly skilled Regional Health and Safety Advisor to join their team in the West Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to play a key role in ensuring the health and safety of employees and clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with clients and internal health and safety teams to ensure effective health and safety management
  • Chair internal site health and safety meetings to discuss and implement safety protocols
  • Attend client health and safety meetings to provide expert advice and guidance
  • Support site teams on all health and safety aspects, including safe systems of work and risk assessments
  • Review and advise on safe systems of work and conduct workplace inspections to identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct investigations into accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Manage on-site occupational health and coordinate training for project staff
  • Contribute to the maintenance of ISO 45001 and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' experience in a busy site-based health and safety role within construction
  • Effective communication skills and client-facing experience
  • Technical knowledge and experience providing health and safety support in the construction and building services sectors
  • IT literacy and proficient report-writing skills
